Mass Slow March for Climate and Mass Civil Disobedience

Mass Slow March for Climate

Bring your friends, bring your climate groups and all who care for life on Earth.

• This mass march will be led by School Strike for Climate, followed by the famous Blinky the giant burnt koala, and the Red Rebels will help set the sombre and passionate tone.
• We will sing for our lives, the lives of children, animals, and all living things, around the world. Register and join us in creating a powerful and colourful cry.

The march will enter Flinders Street intersection around 4:00 pm, where some will move to the side of the road, and other Climate Defenders will choose to sit and hold that intersection for as long as possible.

If you choose to not remain in the intersection we'd love it if you could show your support by moving to the side of the road and cheering and singing for those in a position to make this powerful stand.

Mass Civil Disobedience

We are expecting that the police will arrest those that stay on the road.

Civil resistance is the most powerful way of shaping world politics.

• Standing in the way of business as usual – en masse – taking a stand against omnicide, but staying completely peaceful and passive in the process of state repression, sends a message of love and defiance and alarm. It gives people an opportunity to reflect on their values, and for us to tell the truth on what should be daily news.
